We are one church with many congregations. People can worship God in many different ways. Each congregation of Northern Community has a unique way of providing a space for developing community, deepening spirituality and demonstrating compassion.
The congregations at Northern Community are:
Blended - A formal congregation with a blend of traditional and contemporary expressions of worship. Including "Kids on the Rocks" and "Little Pebbles" for primary and pre-school children. Blended is held at 10am every Sunday morning in the auditorium at the Ministry Centre.
Thirst - A contemplative congregation using silence, meditation and rituals for those who thirst for a deeper spirituality. Thirst is held in various homes at 7pm every Tuesday evening. Phone our Ministry Centre for location.
Harbour - This congregation has lunch together and offers lunch to the community every Tuesday at 12.30pm. This is followed at 1.30pm by a time to share experiences about life and spirituality. Harbour is held in the Hospitality Area at the Ministry Centre.
Tangent - GenX style congregation usually with a communion meal and discussion. Tangent is held every Tuesday evening at 7:30pm at Alphabet City Cafe, 100 Hight St Westgarth (opposite the Westgarth Theatre).
The first Sunday of the month we provide a Food, Facts Friends $3 community dinner at 7.00pm with a focus on a life skill.
Bundoora - A monthly congregation for the Janefield Retirement Village. This is held on the first Thursday of the month.
